EDUCATION & CARE - ADULT

Sunday morning classes are just one of the opportunities for adult education and fellowship. Classes frequently have service projects which share their love with others. Some of the Sunday classes have monthly dinners. Periodically the classes combine for lessons and fellowship. All of the classes extend an open invitation to everyone.

The following are the current Sunday morning adult classes which meet at 9:30 a.m.

HATHOMAR

The name Hathomar is a collective word coined from "happy though married." Marriage is certainly not a requirement as members of this class include both couples and singles. Hathomar is one of the largest adult classes. The course of study is the Adult Bible Studies series; the teaching method is lecture-discussion.

TASTERS

Using the Adult Bible Studies, Tasters is for adults of all ages who are interested in spiritual growth through Bible study. The active discussion is led by a fellowship of regular teachers from the class. The class begins with fifteen minutes of fellowship followed by discussion that begins and ends with prayer.

WESLEY FELLOWSHIP

Wesley Fellowship is the oldest continuously held class at First Church. It is composed of couples and singles of various ages, the majority of them retired. The class uses the Adult Bible Studies. Class time includes singing, a lecture lesson, class response, and social concerns.
