Planned Legacy Giving

Gift Giving is an activity at the very heart of the Christian faith. To give something that is the result of one’s life's work is to affirm that life itself is a sacred gift from God. Our accumulations are testimony to God’s goodness and giving is an appropriate response to affirm the source of these gifts.

The Planned Giving Program at First Church is a compliment to your current giving program. Rather than focusing on immediate needs, the Planned giving program focuses on providing a long time source of funding for ministry that expands the role of the church in the community. As you update your estate planning your plans might include a charitable gift now or a gift in the future.

When you have your estate planning documents prepared, consider inserting a provision leaving a bequest to the First United Methodist Church Perpetual Foundation. Your gift will be a lasting contribution to the Church where only the earnings are used to support the Church’s charitable, educational and spiritual programs.
